I met Susan during one of the darkest and most painful times in my life.
when everything felt heavy, confusing, and hopeless. From the very first session, she saw through my pain with such warmth, patience, and genuine care. She never judged me, never rushed me, she simply held space for me to heal, piece by piece.
And only asked me one question, “ what would you have done?”
I replied welled up in my emotion “ I should have walked away. “
Over time, Susan became more than just my counsellor. She became my safe haven, my biggest cheerleader, and the mum I chose with my heart. She believed in me when I had no strength left to believe in myself.
Gave me the best hug and reassurance, spoke words of encouragement to look at my bright future.
Also made calls to several dept and organisation to help me.
And today, Susan and her wonderful husband Dean celebrated my birthday with me. That act of kindness, so thoughtful and full of love, means the world to me. In that moment, I felt seen, valued, and deeply cared for. They reminded me that even after pain, there is still joy, still family, still love.
Susan, thank you for walking with me through the storm and helping me find my light again. And Dean, thank you for opening your heart and supporting me.
it’s something I will never forget.
You are both angels in human form. I am forever grateful.
