Be Intentional

When you need to have a difficult conversation with your partner, be intentional.

Here are some phrases to use.

“Honey I need to talk to you about something that is important to me.”

“I would like to talk to you – not to blame you. To be understood.”

“Can we have a talk about something that has been on my heart.”

“I’m hoping to create a gentle space so you feel heard too.”

Be being intentional you lay the foundation to be heard, to connect and to stay grounded in your conversation.

When your partner is given time to process your intention, it avoids conflict.
