Why is affection important in a relationship?

Let’s look at what a relationship looks like without affection to bring more clarity to this subject.

Relationships are about connection.

It is when two people decide they want to connect on an emotional and physical level and to connect on an intimate level.

What happens when affection is missing between the couple?

It creates a sense of loneliness and distance between the couple, causing them to pull away from each other.

A lack of physical touch can cause both people to stop caring for each other.

Affection holds a relationship together like glue; especially in hard times and makes a couple feel safe, wanted, needed, appreciated, valued and seen.

Affection says “You’re my person.”

Affection says “I’m your no 1 cheer leader.”

Affection says “You can rely on me.”
