Red flag relationship is in trouble

Red Flag Relationship Is In Trouble

Communication is the pillar of any relationship. Without it, the relationship is looking at an expiry date.

Some people come from families where feelings were not discussed or acknowledged.

In some families, feelings were pushed down and ignored and there was no safe place emotionally to express needs.

This will not work in romantic relationships or families.

Why is communication so important?

Communication is needed to communicate needs, boundaries, expectations etc. for emotional and physical relationships to continue.

You may have a need for affection or quality time. Your partner can not read your mind and needs to know so you feel loved in the relationship.

Communication is needed in conflict. Each person has a need to be heard. This helps them feel valued and loved.

Communication builds on trust, friendship and intimacy. But communication is not just words. Communication is also body language when your partner is trying to talk to you. Do you put your phone down when they’re trying to communicate their day to you?

Does your body language communicate you value what they have to say as important?

What does your body language communicate to your partner when you go to bed together?

Do you turn over with your back facing your partner? Or do you turn towards your partner and put your arm around them, kissing them good night?

When your partner kisses you, do you pull away or do you meet them with a passionate kiss?

Our communication says a lot about how we feel about our partner and can signal the end of the relationship.
